The Workshop Proceedings could cover Challenges to Solutions involving Fire Safety with Focus on Workshop on “Best Practices on Fire Safety with Focus on Building Fire (Schools, Colleges & Hospital Buildings)-Prevention, Mitigation & Capacity Building through Training Program @ Bhubaneswar by International/ National/ State Speakers with Important Takeaways are as follows:-

1.Importance of Safety from childhood through school curriculum is strongly recommended by DG NSC with his 4 Principles involving Fire Safety- Restrict/Alert/Control/Evacuate

2. International Speaker Dr Mark Fulleman from Switzerland highlighted 4 Steps of Fire Safety with stress on Training/ Awareness Programs with Alarm System Evacuation Assembly Point ect.

3. Dr Malay Pradhan from OSDMA/ Directorate of Factories odisha spoke of Govt of Odisha Policy-” Zero Casualty with stress on Awareness Capacity Building/ Fire Safety Drill & importantly on Self Help”.

4. Mr. Siyad  spoke on CONTRIBUTING FACTORS FOR INITIATING FIRE.

The Display of Safety equipments by KARAM with Presentation by their Odisha Head  Mr. Nirupam Das (Business Head- Odisha)  followed by Motivational speech of  Dr Ashok Kumar Sahu  Motivational Lecture  with Quiz Session were Unique for Practical implementation of Vision Zero with Zero Tolerance For Accident Fatality @ Workplace Home Road ect.

Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Govt of Odisha in collaboration
with IGFP, India and IQEMS with strong support of Government of
Odisha in Labour & ESI Department organized Virtual training on
“Risk Mitigation to attain ‘Vision Zero’-an International
Perspective on 7 th June 2023, at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

 Mr. B K Sahu Former Insurance Commissioner, ESIC, Ministry of Labour, Now Director @ Indo-
German Focal Point (IGFP) in his introductory welcome address while welcoming dignitaries,
spoke about Indo German Focal Point (IGFP) promoting Vision Zero for achieving Zero Harm
Culture through International, National, State & District Level Programs with focus on
Women’s, teachers workers industries, children’s, student &. Industrial workers.
 Mr. R. S Gopalan, IAS, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary, Labour & ESI Department Govt. of Odisha
inaugurated the training program and appealed all the industrial houses to give utmost
importance for human safety and to adhere to all safety Rules and Regulations to protect
human lives with focus for Zero Tolerance for accident & fatality at workplaces by following 7
Golden Rules of Vision Zero adopted by ILO/ISSA.
 Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, IAS, Labour Commissioner & Director of Factories & Boilers. Govt. of
Odisha in his Keynote address expressed concern about vehicular accidents, burn injuries &
fall from height in industries in Odisha & stressed the need for training on safety & adopting
protective equipment suitable for our climate for workers while working in operating
machines in factories.
 Dr. sc. ETH Mark Fuellemann, Founder Director of Practice & Experience GmbH,
Switzerland in his presentation title “Talk on Safety at Work: the roles of Management and of
Government” brought out challenges & solutions for Zero Harm for workers with important
role of managers, management & enforcement mechanism of Government – “Helping from
policing to role of helper in implementing safety rules by the Government along with safety
managers of companies”.
 Mr. Tsuyoshi Kawakami, Senior Specialist on OHS @ ILO India made a presentation on “Talk
on Recent Initiatives ILO is taking to promote Decent Work Culture.” – bringing out use of
technology & training to reduce accidents in industries. Moreover he also highlighted on the
safety health & good practices of ILO to achieve zero accidents & fatalities in industries.
 Mr. Alan Storer, GSP, SHE Manager, Aludyne, Columbus, gave a talk on “Talk on Best Safety
Practices of Aludyne and Behaviour Safety”- highlighting examples of unsafe practices, near-
miss cases, minor injuries & fatal accidents which not only bring harm to workers but also
reduction in productivity & reputation of the industries.
At the end Q&A session was taken up with concluding remarks by Mr. Debabrata Panigrahi
MD of IQEMS- Thanking all for the successful conduct of the Training Program & hoped such
training programs (Physical & Online) with continue in future.

State Visit Telangana (2023/18) Meeting with LC Telengana & RO ESIC @ Hyderabad on 5th June 2023

Dear Mr Nadeem , IAS Labour Commissioner Telangana,

At the outset thanks for our meeting @ your Office Chamber in New Secretariat Building – A Marvelous Structure with fine Architectural design & Space ect. 

Kindly refer to our discussion regarding holding of A National/ State Level Symposium/ Workshop on Vision zero for A Safe Workplace with Secured Workforce for industries in the State which is one of the most industrial manufacturing hubs of India under the dynamic Leadership of Hon CM. This proposal is to be seen in the context of 10th year celebration of the Government- 2023& your positive response will greatly help workers Entrepreneurs in getting best practices on Safety Health and Social Security for which IGFP along with our German Partners will take care of International/ National Speakers while Local Logistics arrangements will be of Labour Department State. As agreed we can have this program during the Winter session of 2023.

 This may be followed up by an International symposium in 2024 as done by the Labour department of Gujarat Karnataka Tamilnadu Kerala Odisha ect.

I take this opportunity to request you to display the Safety postures as handed over to you during our meeting in your office chamber to lead from front involving safety education to visitors as 1st Golden principal of Vision Zero- Leadership
