At the outset Let me have the privilege on behalf of IGFP India with strong support of our German Partners led by DGUV to Congratulate your Leadership under Labour Department of Goa Government in organizing 1/2 Day Workshop on Safety Health and Social Security @ Shram Shakti Bhavan Panaji on 26th August 2022 with due finesse deligence by Mr Raju Gawas     Labour Commissioner Goa & Hi Team.

This Workshop is Unique & Several Firsts which may be termed as Good Practices as Follows:-

1 BringingTogether Safety Officers Labour Directorate Officers from State & Social Security Officers of Govt of India ( ESIC & EPFO)

2 Multidisciplinary Approach in not only bringing knowledge sharing on Safety Health and Social Security to benefit Participants but also confluence of Officers from both STATE & CENTRAL Government 

3 sharing of both National & International Best Practices on OSH SS through State / Medical Professional/ University Professional/ ESIC EPFO & Importantly International Speaker as well

4 Through this Awareness cum Training Program, We could build almost 60 Champions who Will further share the Message of “ Prevention Zero Harm Culture & Social Protection with Visionzero “ Forward to Workers Industries in the State.

5 A Pledge for Safety, Health & Nation Building taken by All Participants  ( Pledge Taking Video )

Hope above Takeaways will be further strethengned by the State Labour Department as well as ESIC EPFO for such Multidisciplinary Approach to help the Stakeholders.

I am endorsing this Mail to both DG ESIC & CPFC ( EPFO) with request to issue instructions to their Field Offices to utilize such Platforms being coordinated by IGFP in States to not only share their Schemes for Awareness building but also enhancing their own Professional knowledge through such Multidisciplinary Workshop on Safety Health and Social Social Security.

1/2 Day Workshop on Occupational Safety, Health & Social Security with Focus on Zero Tolerance for Infection & Accident @ Work Place  @ District Level @Dhenkanal

Dear Mr. Saroj OAS SS, Collector Dhenkanal,
May I take this opportunity to express sincere thanks on behalf of IGFP with support of DGUV Germany for successful conduct of 1/2 Day Multidisciplinary Workshop on Safety Health and Social Security today @ Tata Steel Meramunduli with support your Collectorate with ADM CDMO DEO led by DLO nicely organized the workshop with support of IGFP. Almost 70 Participants from Industries have attended this workshop with Takeaways “ Safety Starts with Self & that Vision Zero involving Safeworkplace @ Factories Home & Road is possible by following/ Developing Zero Harm Culture “ which can be strengthened by circulating to all individuals/ Institutions through DLO proceedings of the workshop.
2.One of the Presentation It was informed that while Dhenkanal District is having 2.1 industries of Odisha but Fatal accidents stand @ 10.5 %of total fatal accidents of Odisha -which is a cause of concern, thus the need for such type of awareness programs in the district . However it is surprising that the Factory inspector of Dhenkanal who is responsible for ensuring safety and reduction of industrial accidents was not found in spite of your Advisory that all district officers should attend this workshop . This may be noted for pertinent action @ your end please
3, As you may be aware IGFP is privileged to formulate School syllabus on DM PM & Safety which was submitted to School Secretary Govt of Odisha & further for higher-end classes.
A Booklet containing syllabus was handed over to the Education Officer of your Collectorate with request to use in Schools in Dhenkanal District to promote Preventive knowledge for students to reach their parents. (Soft Copy of the Booklet Enclosed)
IGFP is privileged to send herewith few snaps & Slides of Presentations made in the workshop for your kind perusal and necessary action
Safety PPE as a goodwill gift from our German Partners was handed over to ADM of Collectorate & to Tata Steel Management.

The Deliberations/Presentations by Valued Spekers & Guests have resulted in ” Inputs for Framing Syllabus for Higher Education while Syllabus for Schools as presented Highly acclaimed for Practical Implementation involving Disaster Management ( DM ), Pandemic Management ( PM ) Safety & Social Security for Students “. May I take this opportunity to extend Congratulations & Thanks for A Very Sucessful Educative Symposium for Construction Sector @ Berlin this week to you & all the members of ISSA Construction Team with BG BAU Team.

The Takeaways of this Great Symposium with participation from approximately 35Countries with 150 Participants as IGFP presented @ Summing Up Session are

1 Well Structured Covering all aspects of Construction sector involving OSH with Focus on Visionzero involving Technical Sessions with well intended Sequences 

2 While Issues of Developed countries were discussed, challenges involving Developing countries were also brought out with exchange of Good Practices to benefit India African nations having peculiar problems of huge population with 90% belonging to Unorganized Informal categories 

3 Covid19 Pandemic brought out usefulness of 7 Golden Rules beyond Workplace to Tackling Home as taken in countries by India by Federal State government in adopting Rules involving Leadership and Team work ect

4 Technology while important for refusing accident and achieving Productivity, Developing countries like India and Africa with huge population and majority belonging to Younger generation, we should adopt Conventional Techniques with better management of Accident Fatality as brought out in my summing up session which is beneficial both for Developing and developed countries 

5 Awareness Training and exchange of good practices are key to achieve Visionzero which is a continuous journey as brought out in IGFP presentation

6 With Covid19 Pandemic it has become necessity to Adopt Minimum Safety Health and Social Security as Fundamental Rights by International bodies like ILO/ ISSA taking proactive role to implementation by member countries
